July 2025 Staff Evaluations

Liurnia 02 Aug 2025 00:59

Welcome to the July 2025 Staff Evaluations, here were the major events:

• LiminalDoctor rejoined as a junior staff.

• No resignations this month!

The contest began this month, but there don't seem to be any other notable events to catalog. Down below are a list of some of the guidelines for how evaluations will function, please take note of them if you wish to participate in this discussion:

• To vote, the resulting position of the promotion/demotion must be displayed on the last row of the voting table.
• If you think a given candidate's current position is adequate, then leave their current role in the Promotion/Demotion to row.
• Abstaining continues to be an option.
• As always, reasoning behind your vote would be appreciated. Remember that a convincing, well-structured message can sway the vote.

July 2025 Staff Evaluations

Red-eyes Dragoon 02 Aug 2025 01:16

Liurnia

Subteam Leader

Jstaff

• Liurnia has a communication problem that concerns me. I'm willing to let them stay staff if they can get their communication as well as precense problems resolved, so for now I'm willing to demote to J-staff, rather than a full demotion on the caviet Liurnia communicates if or when they're busy and if said communication doesn't happen for a week or more then full demotion

LiminalDoctor

Junior Staff

Moderator

Limdoc has been busy, but they were moderator before and show relative activity, so I'm more than happy promoting them. They've done great work in the past and I hope they'll continue to do so ^^

Mirroring this, I may return to say more but this just about sums it up.

Staff member	Current position	Promotion/Demotion to
jan Jejasa	Moderator	Jstaff
LaundryFan_04	Moderator	Jstaff
Light_Nate	Moderator	Jstaff
Liurnia	Moderator	Jstaff
Mel-Raspberry	Moderator	Jstaff
LiminalDoctor	Junior Staff	Moderator

All five mentionned moderators range from very inactive to basically dead for months. While I appreciate them and their previous work here, hiatus can only go for so long, and I think that demoting them to jstaff as a last warning and an official way to ask them whether they realistically can come back to staff activity or not would be beneficial for future staff evals where we tend to foget the caevats of the previous months and therefore grant a lot of last chances. I like the idea of starting to use jstaff as a way to remind the person their activity should be increased; although not its primary role, it's one of its main function for new staff either way.

As for Ambersight, they're been completely inactive since they joined one month and a half ago. While still not having been two months, this inactivity is concerning, even for someone that we know has work to do on CN too. As such, I'd like to see more from them in August, as otherwise demotion would be the logical option.

Limdoc to mod seems like a no brainer though, he's active and I'm honestly surprised we didn't mod him from the start.

I'm too inactive to vote on the rest of these folks. I can't really speak on their activity. However, I'm okay with stepping back to J-Staff for now, although I can't vote on myself. Thus, my vote is all abstains.

---

"Goodbye," we said, thinking it was the last we'd see of each other. How cruel is it that our paths instead continued down the same hallway? And so we walked it wordlessly, but next to each other, not wanting to let go. Yet as our journey together finally came to its end, I could not escape my foolishness but shouted "See you tomorrow!" You just turned and smiled. I still think about it. Miss you.

I'm abstaining from this vote as I haven't gotten a good look at staff activity levels overall.

No promotions/demotions at this time.

Staff member	Current position	Promotion/Demotion to
LiminalDoctor	Junior Staff	Moderator

I'll keep it simple — LimDoc already had a mod position at least 3-4 times at minimum, no need to keep them as a J staff

Re: July 2025 Staff Evaluations

DrAkimoto 04 Aug 2025 23:03

Changing my vote to mirror Praetor's vote, with the exception of Mel, though I would like to see some non-disc activity from them as well. I see a majority of work being done by only half of staff, we really could use a push for, at least somewhat, more activity.

Staff member	Current position	Promotion/Demotion to
jan Jejasa	Moderator	J Staff
LaundryFan_04	Moderator	J Staff
Light_Nate	Moderator	J Staff
Liurnia	Moderator	J Staff
