January 2026 Staff Evaluations

r a t i f 29 Jan 2026 20:18

Welcome to the January 2026 Staff Evals. <gameshow music starts playing>.

Neptunium joined as a staff helper. KillerOreo52 was promoted to jstaff. Stixiiee was promoted to mod. r a t i f and pnn wepm returned to staff as jstaff. CamaradeAlbabar returned to staff as mod.

Down below are a list of some of the guidelines for how evaluations will function, please take note of them if you wish to participate in this discussion:

• To vote, the resulting position of the promotion/demotion must be displayed on the last row of the voting table.
• If you think a given candidate's current position is adequate, then leave their current role in the Promotion/Demotion to row.
• Abstaining continues to be an option.
• As always, reasoning behind your vote would be appreciated.
• Remember that a convincing, well-structured message can sway the vote.

Ambersight

I forgot they were even staff, had to come back to edit it in.

Positive123

Moderator

Full

Also editing this in because I forgot pogs was staff again too.

VivamusLudio

Moderator

Jstaff

I just havent seen them around much, they mentioned wanting to finish a tech thing and I think thats fine.

r a t i f	Jstaff	Moderator
Endrew1	Jstaff	Moderator

See no reason not to.

Magnileak	Helper	Jstaff
Neptunium	Helper	?

If we are getting rid of the staff helper position I wouldnt mind seeing these two get a shot as jstaff, though I would like us to be mindful of keeping an eye on them and enacting evals accordingly. *Also going to note that I dont know if neptunium wants to be staff, so if they do they can apply like normal.

*I'm at work right now may pop back to adjust this or elaborate more onces ive had a chance to read all the related threads on staffchat.

I was going to say full for Viv, but if they're still working on the tech policy, then I suppose they can stay. Ambersight is probably busy with CN and alas, it was a partnership that didn't work out.

They're good beans brent.

Staff member	Current position	Promotion/Demotion to
Magnileak	Helper	Jstaff

Due to the vote we had in the Discord, as the Head Admin and tie breaker, Magni shall be admitted to Jstaff.

Neptunium

Helper

Should apply to JStaff

I believe they joined Staff Helper due to time constraints, but I encourage them to apply to Jstaff if they want to continue to volunteer for the wiki.

Also, just to let yall know what I've been working on here (because work is being MEAN to ME :( and I can't use my cell phone)

I've been going back and writing guides for new members and will be touching up Oversight.

In the future, I'm going to be strict about using Oversight as the main hub and see if we can't centralize a few things.

Explained my thoughts in the thread, but posting them here too. Viva has been inactive for over a month with not a peep, but they also asked to just be demoted to Jstaff so they can finish the tech policy. I see no real issue with this and hopefully its a second chance to prove themselves.

Amber we haven't seen in months (someone should probably perform a wellness check). They did good work but they've seemed to have vanished completely.

All three of these guys have done great work and continue to do great work. Even if its technically a bit early for Rat, I see no reason kneecapping his voting privileges for the next month

Nepunium we haven't seen in ages, and with the plans to retire the staff helper role, I think it's time for them to go. Magni, oh Magni. You're eager, I'll give you that. I do think you'll make a great staffer one day but I still think you need some time in the oven, which is fine. Everything needs to cook. But it'd also be unfair to straight up fire you because we decided to retire the helper role, so I'm voting to promote you. That said when/ if you get your roles, we need to discuss what it means to be staff and ways you can improve, fast considering you only have two months as jStaff.

Busy month huh? Wait WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE DEMOTED ALE-
gets shot

I would have normally voted for Viv's full demotion in normal times, but I will respect their request to give them one more month to finish the Tech Policy.

I have full confidence in their abilities as staff. There is little reason to refuse them the promotion.

I have already voted in Magni's thread, I am not sure how necessary it is to restate my vote?

As for Neptunium, he has been largely inactive.

Give the two mods who basically aren't here a nudge. A full demotion isn't something I'm against but they're actually decent staffers when they're around.

I have a softer opinion this time.
Viv is great at tech, so limmiting Viv's interactions with the site limits their peak performance, but I do agree that they are noticably less active right now
With Ambersight I ultimately agree, but I'd like to add an extra stem with Jstaff, so the final demotion, if it happens, will happen after February

Promotions are great, no changes here
