February 2026 Evals

February 2026 Evals

CamaradeAlbabar 01 Mar 2026 08:49

Waddup,

During this month and following the last evals:

Yours truly, CamaradeAlbabar was made an Admin and the Head of the Disciplinary Team, replacing Red-eyes Dragoon who became a Moderator. Magnileak was ful'y demoted during the month. Ambersight was fully demoted during the last evaluations, while VivamusLudio was demoted to JStaff. Positive123 left the team. I'm sure I missed other things.

Down below are a list of some of the guidelines for how evaluations will function, please take note of them if you wish to participate in this discussion:

* To vote, the resulting position of the promotion/demotion must be displayed on the last row of the voting table.
* If you think a given candidate's current position is adequate, then leave their current role in the Promotion/Demotion to row.
* Abstaining continues to be an option.
* As always, reasoning behind your vote would be appreciated.

• Remember that a convincing, well-structured message can sway the vote.

Moderator?

Community team is the biggest and most important staff team, and while understandable, I feel like Mak's relative inactivity doesn't allow for a consistent leadership for all potential projects. At the same time, I am unsure who could take his place as team leader, which makes me still unsure of the vote.

Stixiiee

Jstaff or Full

I haven't seen Stix do much around here, so either a demotion to jstaff or fully demotion seems logical to me.

pnn wepm	Jstaff	Moderator

Both are fairly active jstaff, and their help is definitely appreciated. I think they can be promoted now.

VivamusLudio

Viv, on the other hand, disappeared from the face of Earth again, and it's getting hard justifying keeping him around even for finishing his current staff work.

I agree with Praetor here — right now I'm not in my prime condition, so it is better to give the Admin role to someone fresh and active. I'll go back to being alive and active once more but it is alreay Spring — we *will* have a lot of potential activities such as small cons, site birthday celebrations, April fools, and etc., so right now it is more pragmatic to make a switch than to wait for me to get reanimated

About people who can replace me — that's actually a part of the functionality with the Subteam captains, this role not only exists to target people's effort towards one area and release some tension from the admin but also puts people in the queue for the real blue role, so our main candidates are Rako and Silver + maybe some other people who we would vote for

General note here — activity is important here but it is not everything, I would also like for our new admin to not be impulsive. Staff already has a long-running history of some poorly managed quick descisions, and, sadly, activity of the member very commonly comes in pair with at least a hint of impulsiveness. This in my opinion must be one of the key factors in our vote

Staff member	Current position	Promotion/Demotion to
Poliacci	Administrator	Moderator… but

Okay so like I would demote Mak to mod, and I do still think we should. Nothing against his abilities as a staffer whatsoever, just an activity thing; the community team is pretty dead in the water, and we need someone to be able to revive it to take helm. Until then, I don't think there is much of a point in Maksus having an admin position since anything he takes care of with his extra perks can be covered by more active members.

Staff member	Current position	Promotion/Demotion to
Mel-Raspberry	Moderator	Jstaff

Not very active, so I dont see a point in them having mod perms or the position. They can participate in discussions and such and sustain their activity and regain their position or be demoted come next evals, in my opinion.

Staff member	Current position	Promotion/Demotion to
KillerOreo52	Jstaff	Moderator
VivamusLudio	Jstaff	Full
pnn wepm	Jstaff	Moderator

With Oreo I'm only voting this from word of other staffers vouching for their activity on the maintenance side, though I'd like to see them around in more discussions (may just be a timezones thing who knows).

Viv is dead.

pnn is active, participates in discussions, does maintenance — no brainer

There are two people i know of interested in the position, so after evals we can hold a vote between them or something.

Due to behavior concerns both on and off TS, I do not feel Stix is a good fit for staff. This is only compounded by a middling level of activity.

Keep mod, or Jstaff?

Let's not be hasty with fully demoting people just for a month of mid/low activity.

Neptunium has indeed been active, maybe not as noticeably as the other 2 jstaffs, but I definitely want to keep him on the team and see if next month's productivity warrants a promotion or not.

Never seen Viv around. If the work he's supposed to be doing is crucial, and/or no one else can do it, we can still "employ" him / give him perms as a one-off exception to finish the job. But in terms of activity and involvement, not fit for staff.

Maksypoo I love you but you've been inactive for a while. Time to support the fresh blood who aren't in the throes of a Master's Degree.

I want to give Stix a chance to help out with the Comm team stuff, I think they can make a big difference there. As for Mel, I am extremely hesitant to remove disc team members. There are so few so I'd rather encourage them to participate.

Viv I love you also but you have become a spooky ghost. Sooshi was a wonderful moderator before so I have full confidence. I also really like Oreo's attitude, so promotion. I recognize that Neptunium has done maintainance stuff for the wiki however I think we can see another month out of him.

CamaradeAlbabar 02 Mar 2026 23:01

I am sorry but I am writing this in a hurry, so no formatting here.

For admins:

• Poliacci Admin —> Moderator

I think that while Mak can still be a valuable staff member, his input as admin has been inconsistent. He'd be a better fit as a moderator.

• Stixiiee Moderator —> Full

I do not believe Stix to be a good fit as a staff member. I do not think her behaviour is really compatible with being a staffer and her activity has been so-so.

VivamusLudio JStaff —> Full

Not much to add. Has completely disappeared.

Abstain for the others. Haven't been able to judge their input. I trust the judgement of my fellows.

Staff member	Current position	Demotion to
Poliacci	Administrator	Moderator

Lower activity is the main reason for this. Not the worst thing in the world, but we do want our admins to be the more active members of staff to both justify their position of responsibility/power and be reachable in times of emergency.

Staff member	Current position	Demotion to
Stixiiee	Moderator	Keep an eye on

Not ready to demote because I frankly have not seen enough of Stix yet, but that itself may be indicative of an issue. I need more time to determine if demotion is appropriate.

Staff member	Current position	Demotion to
VivamusLudio	Jstaff	Full demotion upon completion of assigned tasks

Viv is here for specifically the Tech policy, and I don't mind having him stay until he finishes. He isn't particularly taking up a staff slot, so I don't mind the limbo. That being said, if it's taking too long we may need to ask him for the draft so that active Tech staff can finish it.
