Wikiproject Titles
{$alt}

Imagine this isn't from wikiproject SEO.

This is Wikiproject Titles, an effort to check the titles of pages on the wiki so see if they're Oll Korrect. We haven't really had clear policies on what constitutes a proper title for a page, and pages without titles remain rampent.

This wikiproject is open to any user to contribute to directly.

Why?

  1. Make the CROM experience a little better as it would resolve CROM accidentally putting the "Full title" of the page twice.
  2. Make the user experience a little nicer when going from page to page.
  3. Make the experience of looking at tag lists and other listpages a bit nicer.

Standardization has many benefits!

How?

Track standard titles

Let's track this with _title. This tag should be added to pages as we fix them. We should go through Levels first, and then go through the other categories.

An older version of the project existed that used _wp-titles. Remove this tag when applying the new title.

What do standard titles look like?

Level XXX - "You've Been Here Before"

Keep in mind this is a short dash, so not Level XXX — "You've Been Here Before".

The additon of the title allows for an easier search when checking tag lists, backlink lists or listpage modules like the latest pages list.
